With that being said, the data is showing some very tell-tale signs of who is actually buying full albums. With a number of movie soundtracks topping the list, this tells us that cinema and musical lovers are more inclined to listen and purchase an entire album as opposed to individual tracks. Additionally, they seem less likely to stream soundtracks on platforms such as Spotify or Apple Music. Last week, it was also revealed that t he Greatest Showman was the second-highest selling vinyl record of the year.

It is blatantly too much in what it hopes is a charming and semi-organic way.
